It is also possible to reach Bariloche by boat from Chile. The tour connects the Chilean lakes region with the Argentinean lakes region, crossing two lush national parks and three mountainous lakes, at the foot of majestic volcanoes. The combined boat and bus trip starts from the city of Bariloche or inversely from the Chilean city of Puerto Varas. It can be done all year round: In winter it can be done in two days, staying at the hotel in the small town of Peulla. In summer it can be done in one day. If you wish to return to Bariloche you can do it by the same means or take a regular bus that goes north to the city of Osorno. There you cross the Antonio Samore Pass (ex Puyehue), to enter Argentina through the Province of Neuquen, at the height of the town of Villa La Angostura. The trip takes approximately 8 hours. In the middle of the Andes you can see the Osorno Volcano, a landscape difficult to forget, like all this trip.
